Building The Sanctuary
The Grind & The Turning Point
For years, our lives were measured in grueling service shifts . My husband, was a burnt-out professional chef, pushing his neurodivergent brain to thrive in a high-heat, high-noise "hustle culture" of the professional kitchen. It was a life of 50+ hour weeks that offered plenty of adrenaline but zero sanctuary. We were living for the days off, exhausted by the noise, and realised that the path that we were on wasn't just tiring it was unsustainable for a neurodivergent family .
2026 will become the year of the "Great Reset" with my husband starting his medication journey and our daughter starting her assessment journey this year, we realised we didn't want her to grow up trying to "fit" into a world that didn't understand her. We wanted to build a world that did.
We packed up and headed to the highlands - a Reset Manifest Holiday at the foot of Ben Nevis. In the silence of the mountains ECO Snug Empire was born.
Heritage & Heart
We chose the Scottish Highlands for our "Reset Manifest" as my Husband is Scottish, and with our children being half-Scottish, these mountains are a part of our DNA. We came here to reconnect with his roots and find the rugged strength needed to change our lives. The heritage is the heartbeat of everything we do - a blend of Scottish endurance and the intentional peace of our future home in Kent.
The Vision
We aren't just building a business; we are reclaiming our peace.
- ECO Empire Studios: Our digital development hub. We are a neuro-inclusive studio dedicated to "cleaning up" through low stress, satisfying games. Trading the chaos of the commercial kitchen line for the focused calm of our digital sanctuary, we are releasing one game per season, to reflect our own seasonal reset journey.
- The Snug Home & Sanctuary Shop: A lifestyle brand and curated shop dedicated to neuro - diverse, sensory friendly living. We begin with The Blueprints- The essential tools for routine, structure and calm - and evolve our collection each season to match our games. Through our blog and shop, we provide the inspiration and necessities to help families turn their homes into quiet sanctuaries.
The Mission
Our goal is to reach the Sanctuary - A three bedroom twin lodge next to our container office. Every "Big Clean, every line of code and every curated item in the Sanctuary Shop is a step toward that end goal. We are building a life where work supports our well-being, not the other way around. We invite you to join us for a year of cleaning, as we turn our vision into our reality, one season at a time.
We are going faceless to focus on the feeling of the sanctuary rather than the faces behind it.
From the 8 AM manifestos in the mountains to the "Big Clean" starting in Kent on January 27th, we are proving that you can exit the 50-hour grind and build an empire that prioritises peace over pressure.

The Vision: A Life Redesigned
For nearly two decades, the heat and high-stakes static of professional kitchens were the only world my husband knew. But at 38, a diagnosis of ADHD changed everything. It provided the Why behind years of childhood struggles and the search for a place to belong.
When I asked him, "What would you have done if you could have stayed in school?" his answer was simple: "Something with computers."
From that moment, we began architecting a manifesto, a vision to exit the kitchen and build the life he was always meant to have. The Snug Developer is where he tells his story through music, that he has created.
