7 Days of Sanctuary: What Happens When a Chef Builds for ADHD

25 years. That’s how long my husband spent in the chaos.
If you’ve ever worked a line, you know the feeling. The heat, the shouting, the endless tickets, and that constant, low-level hum of sensory overload that never quite goes away, even when the shift ends.
For an undiagnosed brain, those 25 years weren't just a career; they were a survival test.
Seven days ago, we officially launched the bridge: Sanctuary OS: Kitchen and ADHD App.
The app that has allowed him to transition into a new digital world and honour those 25 years.
We didn’t build an app because the world needed another recipe manager. We built it because we were tired. Tired of Dinner Fatigue. Tired of the Executive Function Wall that hits at 5 PM when the kitchen feels like a battlefield instead of a home.
One Week in the Wild
Today marks exactly 7 days since we went live on the Google Play Store. Here is what we’ve learned in a week of Sanctuary:
17 Pioneers: We currently have 17 active users. That might sound small to some, but to us, it’s 17 people who took a chance on a Husband and Wife duo building an empire from our front room.
Zero Leaks: Our retention is holding steady. People aren't just downloading it; they are staying. It turns out, when you build a tool for an overstimulated brain using an overstimulated brain, it actually works.
The Signal vs. The Static: The feedback has been a relief. 5 - 5 Star Reviews in the first week. Thank You.
Dinner Fatigue is a real thing, and naming it has helped us (and our users) realise we aren't lazy, we’re just processed out.
The Reset is Just Beginning
This app is the first pillar of our Eco Snug Empire, seasonal Reset. While we look toward the land, the lodge, and the future, we are focusing on the now. The song 38 Years in the Weeds is currently making its way to your ears via Spotify, and the app is waiting for you on Google Play.
We aren't just building tech; we’re building a way out.
To the first 17: Thank you for being the foundation.
To the next 983: The Sanctuary is open.
